Greetings to all visitors! A little about me.
I apologize for the diminished size of this gallery - so far I have very few works that I find worthy of being displayed here; a few more could make it, perhaps, but I haven't even tried. I have seen the high standards of all members here and I'll do my best to keep up with them!
It's best to let you know right away that, unlike most members here, I am no professional (even though I do freelance). The actual classes related to Art I did take were few; most of my self-taught technique comes from observation of the works of those a thousand miles ahead of me in the talent department, both in 2D and 3D media. My country (Brazil) has no support for artists, and I had to turn to the tried-and-tested road (Law school) in order to make ends meet. While it is very exciting and rewarding to observe and learn all by myself, it is also a slow process and I'd much rather have formal training so that I can approach the excellence I aim for. Maybe if an opportunity comes by I'll be able to pursue the road of Art one day - it will be my dream career, no less!
What moved me to Art in the first place? Boris Vallejo, Larry Elmore, Keith Parkinson, Clyde Caldwell, Brom are some of the names that come to my mind. I've always been an avid fantasy art admirer, and the unparalleled talent of these masters of fantasy illustration has made me certain that I would dedicate my life to working on achieving that sort of technical perfection.
